The Nungu release, which was made available on all SaaS environments last month, has been reviewed in detail by [Selligent partner] De Heeren van Veertig Plus. Would it taste as good as a glass of Piña Colada in O'Malley's bar? We're going to discover that answer in this blog. The ingredients for Selligent's summer version of this delicious cocktail consist of Folder Rights, Cancel and Pause, Custom A/B testing, and Rich Mobile Push Notifications. Let’s taste this one!

Admin Configuration Folder Rights

Have we really been waiting for this? Um… yeah! I think especially those who have KeyUser or SuperUser tattooed on their foreheads. The ability to assign explicit permissions to folders per group of users and/or role is great. With this feature, you are able to set up a clean folder structure, where only relevant folders are visible to the end user.

Folder Rights is off by default within Selligent Marketing Cloud. In that case, everyone has access to all folders. After activation you can also exclude certain groups from accessing specific folders, which is very useful, especially for those with super users and/or keyusers.

View access rights at user level – nice!

This is really cool! You can now see per user which folders he or she has access to. This makes management a lot easier and gives good insight into the structure and access. You simply select any user, click on the 'Folder Rights' tab – and voila! All folders to which this user has access are shown in an overview.

If a user does not have access to a certain folder containing assets used in the creation of a journey, he or she will receive a message on the screen. This also applies to lists, Custom Components, and Content Blocks, to which the user does not have access. The properties of a list indicate that a user does not have access to certain assets, which is very useful when troubleshooting rights issues. If you first had to delve into the folder structure, make comparisons with asset management and possible roles, now you can see exactly which checkbox per user you should tick or which asset you should move to an accessible folder.

Cancel Journey Dialog

In the previous release blog, we explained at which levels you can pause, stop, or cancel a journey. In the above example of more than five million records, it’s a great option to be able to cancel a journey in case there is something wrong with the email you sent. In the Nungu release, you can see a count of the number of records that have left the “digital door,” and if you are sure you want to cancel the journey, be quick. The processing continues in the background until you click the 'Yes, cancel journey' button. The smaller the target group, the faster you have to click, because make no mistake: The Grid dispatch is lightning-fast!

Pausing Journeys

Another handy feature that you will definitely use: Pause a flow. This feature was only available in Custom Journeys previously, but in the Nungu Release you can now use this feature in all journeys. Very useful if you need to temporarily disable an automated flow, for example, to prevent too many emails ending up at the recipient's doorstep on the digital doormat, and give priority to a specific mail flow that absolutely has to go out.

Custom A/B testing

In the previous versions, the A/B test was only available as a journey type. In custom journeys you might want to use A/B test as well. This is another example that Selligent really listens to its end users. They now have the choice to use either an A/B journey, which allows them to quickly set up a test with the help of a wizard, or to leverage an A/B component in a custom journey.

Why would you want this anyway? Why set up a custom journey for an A/B test? Well, a custom journey gives you more insight into the course of your journey. Moreover, there are many marketers who extend the A/B flow with other components, such as writing data to an interface for external reporting purposes. The great thing is that the results of the A/B test are also visible in the custom journey, and the winning email is marked with a green dot. These are small, but oh-so-handy things that make a new marketer's life so muich easier!

Send Images with Rich Mobile Push

There are advantages to adding push notifications to your Selligent Marketing Cloud instance; that is, aside from enriching profiles within the Selligent environment itself. Rich Mobile Push makes communications more visual and attractive, to catch consumers' attention, leading to increased engagement. With a mobile push message, users can easily expand custom journeys and not be dependent on support from IT or one colleague working with the 'other' platform. Moreover, you only have one platform when it comes to communication maintenance. We have been fans of this part of Selligent Marketing Cloud anyway, and now, as a marketer, you can easily add variable content to your push notifications.

This includes, for example, the use of images from your standard library, Live Content, and even Smart Content (automatically display the most relevant image, such as recommendations). In the example below, you can see what this would look like on an iPhone.

 Is that it?

Well, no. The Nungu release contains, in addition to what we described in this blog, many more improvements and tricks. The nice thing is that these add value for both the marketer and the administrator of the platform. And of course, for us as a dedicated Selligent Partner, it gives us more room to realize our clients' wishes, down to the last detail. We are already looking forward to the next release!

To learn more about the innovative Selligent platform, including essential features, unique capabilities, and latest product updates, visit the Selligent Product Newsroom.

Piña Coladas with Selligent Nungu

As many of us already know, every release of Selligent has, to put it mildly, a special name.
